What this is

T-track hold-down clamps are a different tool from every other clamp on this site — instead of squeezing two jaws together, they bolt into a T-track slot and pivot down to pin a workpiece flat against a table or jig surface. The POWERTEC 71168 is one of the more commonly stocked hold-down clamps sized for router tables, CNC spoilboards, drill presses, table saw sleds, and shop-made jigs. This page covers the 2-pack (model 71168).

Source: cross-referenced retailer spec listings (Home Depot’s listing for the related 4-pack, plus independent woodworking-supply retailers) that consistently list the same dimensions, T-bolt thread, and aluminum/rubber construction for this model. We could not reach a dedicated POWERTEC-hosted spec page for this exact model, so this is a retailer cross-reference rather than a direct manufacturer-page source — flagged here per our sourcing standard.

POWERTEC 71168 T-Track Hold-Down Clamp (2-Pack)

Anodized aluminum body; non-marring rubber pads · 5-1/2" L x 1-1/8" W clamp arm · 3-1/2" T-bolt, 5/16"-18 thread · fits universal T-track or larger, not 1/4" or mini T-track

A different clamp type than the bar/spring/parallel clamps elsewhere on this site — this pins a workpiece down to a T-track-equipped table or jig rather than squeezing two jaws together.

Who this is for

If you’ve got T-track milled into a router table, CNC spoilboard, drill press table, or a shop-made jig, this is a genuinely different holding solution than any bar or spring clamp — it frees up clamping points that a C-clamp or bar clamp couldn’t reach around a fence or fixture edge.

Who this isn’t for

No T-track, no use for this clamp — it has nothing to bolt into without one. And per the manufacturer’s stated compatibility, it won’t fit 1/4" or mini T-track sizes, so check your track spec before ordering.

Bottom line

This is a retailer-cross-referenced spec writeup, not a hands-on test — we haven’t mounted this in a real T-track to check hold-down pressure or knob wear over time. On paper it’s a standard-size aluminum hold-down clamp built for universal T-track. POWERTEC 71168 (2-Pack) if your table or jig has the track for it.

If your work sees varying stock thickness and you’d rather not re-tighten a knob every time, see the Rockler Auto-Lock T-Track Hold Down Clamp — it auto-adjusts instead of using a fixed arm. Need to mount on a drill press or plain workbench too, not just T-track? See the Milescraft 4007 BenchClamp. Have dog holes instead of T-track? See the Kreg KBC3-BAS. Need to lock down a track saw guide rail instead of a workpiece? See the Bessey GTR16S6H.
