Two different approaches to the same problem
Bessey and Jorgensen are the two brands that show up most often across every clamp category on this site — and reading through our own comparisons of them side by side, a pattern shows up: Bessey tends to compete on rated force and refined moving parts (moveable heads that stay put, auto-adjust toggle mechanisms), while Jorgensen tends to compete on built-in usability features (a clamp stand molded into the body, tool-free reversible jaws) at a comparable or lower price. Neither brand wins outright — which one you want depends on which of those two things you value more.
Where we’ve directly compared them
24" parallel clamps — our parallel clamps comparison puts the Bessey K Body REVO (KRE3524) against the Jorgensen 8024 Cabinet Master at the same 24" opening. Bessey wins on rated force (1,700 lb nominal / 2,200 lb working load limit vs Jorgensen’s 1,500 lb / 1,000 lb); Jorgensen wins on built-in usability (a clamp stand for one-handed positioning that Bessey’s listing doesn’t mention having).
36" heavy-duty parallel clamps — our Jorgensen Cabinet Master Pro 36" product page covers the Jorgensen Cabinet Master Pro 36" , Jorgensen’s longer-reach Heavy-Duty line at 2,200 lb — matching Bessey’s 24" force rating at a longer 36" reach, though we haven’t found a directly comparable 36" Bessey K Body REVO listing to put against it size-for-size.
Deep-reach bar clamps — our deep-reach bar clamps comparison puts the Bessey CDS24-12WP against the Jorgensen #4524 at the same 24" max opening. Bessey’s 12" throat depth and higher force (~1,540–1,550 lb) beat Jorgensen’s 5" throat and 1,200 lb rating here — though Jorgensen’s shallower reach comes in a lighter, less bulky package, and the same Jorgensen line also sells in 7" and 9" throat depths we haven’t reviewed yet.
Accessories: Jorgensen’s ecosystem play
Jorgensen sells a Parallel Clamp Extender that joins two of its own Cabinet Master clamps into one longer clamp — a genuine ecosystem accessory Bessey doesn’t have an equivalent for in what we’ve reviewed. If you’re already buying into one brand’s parallel clamp line for a specific project size, that’s worth factoring in before you mix brands.
Bottom line
On the size tiers we’ve actually compared, Bessey tends to win on raw force and reach, Jorgensen tends to win on built-in usability features and accessory ecosystem — pick based on which matters more for your specific project, not brand loyalty. Start with Bessey K Body REVO or Bessey CDS24-12WP for more force and reach, or Jorgensen 8024 Cabinet Master or Jorgensen Cabinet Master Pro 36" for built-in usability features — see our parallel clamps and deep-reach bar clamps comparisons for the full spec tables behind this summary.
